First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was the day! After visiting his classroom last night and dropping off his school supplies, Kane went straight to bed to be ready for his first day of school. When Steve and I woke Kane up this morning, his first question was "Is the bus here yet?" Kane was quite brave and took the day in stride. This made it much easier for his parents to be brave also! I asked him what his favorite part of the day was and his response was, "Rest time. I love my rest mat." So there you have it, Kane's day in a nutshell.
Here are the pictures of the day. There are not in chronological order, I am still getting use to "blogging"!

Kane giving his best smile for us!

Miss Wickwire and Kane. Kane thinks she is very nice!

Here is Kane at his table. He is getting ready to color a picture of himself. He chose the black crayon and used it to color the whole thing. He is definitely a minimalist when it comes to adding color!

Kane getting off the bus in the afternoon. It was a hot and long ride. He practically jumped off the bus.

Happy to be home and excited to tell about his first day at school.

Waiting outside the house for the bus in the morning.

Jenna Freeburn and Kane- they are bus buddies.

Jenna taking care of Kane before the bus arrives.

Kane arriving at school. He didn't know we where there taking pictures. The girl in the long hair met Kane right off the bus and walked his to his classroom.

End of Summer Fun

This is my first official post to the Miller Family Blog. We have had an amazing summer, no doubt. Steve and I are so happy and grateful to have the summers off and be able to spend the time with the boys. School has started back for us and Kane will start Kindergarten this Tuesday. I am having a bit of time coming to grips with the fact that he will be going to school. I can't believe it, the past five years have gone by in a flash. Here are some pictures of our last weekend before school started back. Steve and the boys worked hard to get the swingset ready for rock to be delivered. I, of course, worked just as hard taking the pictures!

Cole's new discovery is that he loves to stick out his tongue.

All three of the Miller guys working hard.

Kane and Cole had a ball checking out all the bugs from the newly dug border around the playset.

Kane showing us how to really stick out your tongue.
